You cannot leave a world you have not learned to see.The Exit is about recognizing the consumer bubble—and discovering that creation is not simply the other side of a fence. It is an entirely different world.
For a long time, I understood life mainly through what could be chosen, bought, watched, used, or admired. Then I realized everything around me had first existed in somebody else’s imagination. The people who made those things were not a different species. They had learned to participate in creation. Once that became visible, consuming alone could no longer feel like enough.
